About

Dan — Founder & Editor, Electric Vehicles HQ

Dan covers electric vehicles, battery tech, and the money moving through both. He's been tracking the EV transition since before it was a consensus trade — from Lucid's rocky IPO to Rivian's production ramps to the Chinese OEMs nobody wanted to talk about in 2022.

Based in Phoenix, he writes about EVs the way an investor reads them: range numbers that actually matter, price cuts that signal something, and the policy shifts that move stocks before they move showrooms. No press-release rewrites. No "revolutionary new platform" hype without the margin math behind it.

When he's not covering the industry, he's tracking Lucid and Rivian earnings, following semiconductor supply chains out of TSMC, and occasionally calling out an EV take on X that doesn't survive contact with a spreadsheet.
